Tea Party Girl Hasselbeck Gone from View? ~ Update: Rumor Denied

UPDATE: Barbara Walters Denies Rumor, sort of:
There is a particularly false story getting picked up about Elisabeth's alleged departure, saying that we don't approve of her conservative views. The truth is, we love Elisabeth. I like her personally and she's just a wonderful person. But beyond that we value and appreciate her point of view. It's important to us because Elisabeth helps give this show perspective and balance. ...We have no plans for Elisabeth to leave this show. Having said that to all of you, Bill and I have always said that when one of you makes the choice to leave, that's your choice and we will support your decision. But right now, the only person who cannot leave the show is me.

From US Magazine
According to the source, the show's resident conservative voice is being ousted after market research revealed that she isn't popular with TV audiences.

"The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right wing," the insider tells Us. "People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed."

When reached for comment, a rep for the show told Us in a statement: "Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a valued member of The View and has a long term contract."

Hasselbeck, 35, joined the cast of the daytime talk show in November 2003 after guest-hosting the show following Lisa Ling's departure in 2002.

Next week: Elisabeth Hasselbeck HIRED by Fox News!

"Polling showed that viewers were turned off by Hasselbeck’s presence on the show, not tuning into the program because of her"
HAHAHAHAHA...center-right country my ass.

Her voice is like scratching a chalkboard.

I never had a problem with her having conservative political views; what bothered me about Hasselbeck was her cringe worthy style of debating them.
When someone challenges her statements, Hasselbeck becomes shrill, cries, and portrays herself as a victim being bullied and pick on. She seems intent on advancing the negative stereotype of women being too emotional and childlike to be included in serious discourse.
Her sanctimonious, thin-skinned, and humorless response to jokes directed at her makes Hasselbeck unsuited for being in front of a camera. It's best for all involved that she find a different career.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck makes the 700 Club look progressive.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a strident, pom•pous, ig•norant, overbearing 'bagger. Why she is on anything OTHER than FauxNews is beyond me.
Actually, I'll make a small wager that she indeed ends up on FauxNews. She's perfect for them.

I wish Hasselbeck good luck.. She's too intelligent for the low-information audience which helped bring an anti-American Kenyan to the white house. Lower case intended. It should now be called the Nation's Out House.

Silence anyone who disagrees with them..This liberal media are treasonous leeches who attempt to silence the opposing view.....pathetic.

It's a business. It's about money. If she isn't good for the ratings she's gone. If her views don't appeal to the demographic she is gone. It isn't about fairness, it is about business.
~ Jayar B. on Washington Times

The watchers of the Spew are mostly angry, ugly, left wing women, and fruity men anyway. Elisabeth's too good looking for the mud fence crowd of permissive women.
~ Thomas W. on Breitbart

. . . she will be better off without all those racist socialists
